Doug Anthony is part of a famous Australian political dynasty. His father preceded and his son succeeded him in the House of Representatives as Member for Richmond in New South Wales. Doug Anthony held the seat of Richmond from 1957-1984.
Doug Anthony held the position of Deputy Prime Minister from 1971-1972 and 1975-1983 and was widely regarded as a shrewd and successful politician.
